Rebel Gym is the first and only smart kickboxing gym in Kuwait. It’s also Impact Wrap’s first gym in this middle eastern country along the Persian Gulf. Rebel first approached us over 2 years ago with a unique concept studio they were opening. It would be boutique, very upscale, and would use the latest, most advanced striking technology as a foundation of its business model. At the time, we had no idea what the contact’s gender was as communications were through email and somewhat hidden. It did not matter, we were completely intrigued! We were all in on their idea and excited to see the branding. It wasn’t until later on when helping get them set up with the Impact Wrap platform that we learned Rebel was a women-owned, women-only kickboxing studio, and realized the difficulties they were up against because of this.

We know how hard it is to be a small business just starting out. It’s even harder to be female entrepreneurs just starting out and harder still doing it in Kuwait. We started learning about the obstacles before them and decided what to do as a company is to support them in any way we could, including making them Impact Wrap’s exclusive partner in Kuwait. We helped them get a head start over the competition with the exclusivity and it’s a great feeling to be able to help folks out. In fact, we’re now doing the same for a woman-owned kickboxing fitness business in India!

Since those early days, Rebel Gym Kuwait has knocked it out of the park with its sleek and ultra-modern facility. Co-Founder and Head Coach Fatemah Alothman wanted “to be creative and innovative,” to be “totally different from other gyms in Kuwait.” The ease of customizing the Impact Wrap platform has enabled her to create 30+ (and counting!) different fitness programs for her members. We have been blown away by the attention to member detail that they have layered into every touch point. Now, going on over two years with Impact Wrap, our tech has been the foundation for every Rebel Gym workout.

Rebel Gym has been breaking barriers on its way to dominance in Kuwait since its opening. Retention rate and loyalty for the brand and gym are through the roof and Rebel continues to get more leads just through word of mouth and organic social media shares by clients. “Impact Wrap is the glue that holds this whole experience together,” says Co-Founder Fatemah Aljenaei. Due to popular demand Rebel has expanded and added more Impact Wrap connected heavy bags to accommodate the increase in membership. Rebel Gym owners Fatemah Alothman, Asmaa Alasfour, and Fatemah Aljenaei have understood the importance of using data and technology to drive motivation, retention, and revenue from the get-go. So much of the innovation Rebel does is data-driven and that’s paid off.
